What is Microcement?
Cement, fine aggregates, polymers, and additives are all combined to create traditional microcement. Compared to regular cement, this cement is applied in thin layers, hence the name "micro" cement.
This article will examine the various types of microcement products that are on the market, such as acrylic, epoxy, mono-component (powder & water), and bi-component (powder & polymer) CEMHER premium polyurethane microcement systems. We will provide a brief overview and their advantage of each type microcement.

Mono-Component Microcement (powder + water)
單組份微水泥 (粉狀 + 水)
單組分微水泥(水泥/石灰粉末+加水)
單組分微水泥,也稱為傳統微水泥,將粉末狀組分與水混合以形成可使用的糊狀物,以製作混凝土效果而聞名。

Single-Component Microcement (cement / lime powder + added water)
Single-Component, also called traditional microcement, involve mixing a powdered component with water to create a workable paste, are well known for creating a concrete effect finish.
Advantages:

Minimal VOC.

Cost Effective.
-
Quick drying time.
-
UV stable – does not discolour under UV light.
Disadvantages:
-
Needs proper mixing skills & tools.
-
Extra varnish might be needed for improved durability.
-
Poor flexibility.
Bi-Component Microcement
(cement / lime powder + polymer liquids)
雙組分微水泥(水泥 / 石灰粉+聚合物乳液)
雙組分微水泥(水泥/石灰粉+聚合物乳液)
礦物粉末混合物添加聚合物乳液。聚合物增強其附著力、柔韌性、耐用性和各方面性能。
優點:

改進附著力和柔韌性、耐用性和抗衝擊性等。

Bi-Component Microcement (cement / lime powder + polymer liquids)
Bi-Components microcement requires the addition of liquid polymer additives into the mineral powder mixture. Polymers enhance its adhesion, flexibility, durability and own performance.
Advantages:

Improved adhesion and flexibility, durability and impact resistance.

UV stable – does not discolour under UV light.

Longer working times than single component
Disadvantages:

Needs proper mixing skills & tools.

Lime is modestly soluble in water.
-
Porosity mineral based microcement is trend to absorb water and other liquids.
Epoxy Microcement 環氧樹脂微水泥

Epoxy microcement is renowned for its remarkable chemicals resistance and durability. Because epoxy systems can tolerate high foot traffic and are resistant to chemicals and abrasion, they are a popular choice for commercial spaces and high-traffic areas.
However, one significant disadvantage of epoxy microcement systems is their inherent lack of UV stability, also known as photodegradation, a reaction that causes the resin to break down and lose mechanical properties, resulting in yellowing and discoloration.
For best results, epoxy microcement needs to be applied with precision and knowledge.
Advantages:

Disadvantages:

Poor UV Stability, UV can break down chemical bonds and fade the color of epoxy.

Acrylic / Polyurethane Microcement
丙烯酸 / 聚胺脂 微水泥
丙烯酸/PU微水泥通常已經預混合,即可使用,無需現場混合。

Acrylic / PU microcement often comes pre-pigmented color, pre-mixed and ready to use, eliminating the need for on-site mixing.
Our CEMHER MicrOne PU microcement offers enhanced adhesion, durability, flexibility and an extremely high degree of resistance to water and staining even before varnish are applied. By adding Microne Plus (polyurethane catalyst) to any of the ‘ready-to-use’ Microne products. The hardness increases from 27 MPa to 50 MPa, as well as its impermeability and adhesion power. This makes it an ideal microcement for application in high traffic areas.
